Huon Valley Drive

Wednesday the 7th March  we took off south to the Huon Valley again as Linda had been wanting to spend more time in Cygnet and we had not driven around the bottom of the coast through Gordon.

It was another beautiful day and we stopped for coffee at Woodbridge. The venue was the Peppermint Bay Restaurant and it was quite beautiful and in a great location, ie it looks over to Bruny Island.

We continued on through Gordon. There is a great cheap camp there right on the water for only $5 a night, with toilets.

As we continued around the bay it was just beautiful.

The views kept coming as we stopped at the lookout to the mouth of the Huon River.

Drove on to where we had lunch at the Hartzview Winery. I was disappointed with their pinot noir, but it was very peaceful there and we had a night lunch.

We checked out their huts which were used by fruit pickers back in the 1920s.

What a beautiful drive and a beautiful day.
